About Me
I majored in mathematics with an emphasis in elementary education and earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Grand Valley State University in December of 2013. I was a third grade teacher assistant at Kent City Elementary and a first grade student teacher at Baldwin Heights Elementary. I was also a Lead 4 year-old Preschool Teacher at AppleTree Learning Center for a couple of months before joining Little Panthers Preschool in Comstock Park Public Schools. These rural school communities have taught me how to educate lifelong learners through writing, reading, and math workshops, which focuses on the students’ needs in an engaging manner. I have also facilitated management strategies that create a safe, caring, and responsible learning environment.
In January of 2014 I obtained my Provisional Teaching Certificate from the Michigan State Board of Education. I am endorsed in Elementary K-5 All Subject (K-8 All Subject Self Contained Classroom) and Mathematics 6-8.
